Q: Do you require a minimum number of
people at our reception?
A: No, there is not a minimum
number of people required, but there is minimum dollar expenditure.
This amount will vary by the day of the week, time of day, and
time of year. Please discuss this with our Wedding Coordinator.
Q: Is a service charge (gratuity) and
sales tax included in your Wedding Package price?
A: Yes. Our Wedding Package
prices include a service charge (gratuity) and the appropriate
sales tax.
Q: When do we finalize all of our wedding
plans with you?
A: We strongly suggest that
you meet with our Wedding Coordinator approximately 4- to 6-weeks
prior to your wedding date. At that time you will discuss your
choice of table linens, flowers, dinners, cake, and beverages.
Our Wedding Coordinator will also design a custom seating arrangement
for you to place your guests at tables.
Q: Who will place our favors, toasting
glasses, placards, caketop, on the day of our wedding?
A: Two days prior to your
wedding date, the bride should bring her wedding novelties to
our Wedding Coordinator. Our professional banquet staff will
then place them in the areas you have designated before you
arrive on your wedding day.
Q: Is it customary to supply the professional
entertainers and photographers with dinner? Are these dinners
charged at the same price as our guests’ meals?
A: It is customary to provide
meals for your professionals. These meals are charged at $25.00
each.
Q: Are children’s meals charged
at the same price as the adult dinners?
A: We offer special children’s
dinners at $25.00 each.
Q: Can you provide a separate room for
the wedding party to privately enjoy champagne and hors d’oeuvres
before the formal introductions?
A: Yes! We have a special
room where the wedding party can relax and enjoy champagne and
hors d’oeuvres prior to the formal reception.
Q: Can your Wedding Packages be modified?
A: Absolutely! We are happy
to customize a Wedding Package just for you and your special
day!
Q: How many overnight rooms do you have?
A: Our adjoining Clarion Hotel boasts
68 elegant guestrooms and suites. All include a complimentary
breakfast buffet in the morning. We also offer free transportation
to and from Albany International Airport and the area Amtrak
stations.
Q: Do you have a Bridal Suite available?
A: Our adjoining Clarion Hotel offers
a complimentary Bridal Suite for the Bride and Groom complete
with chilled champagne in the room when you arrive. (Subject
to availability)
Q: Do you offer Rehearsal Dinners?
A: We offer private
dining rooms adjacent to our Restaurant to accommodate your
rehearsal dinner or bridal shower.
Q: Can we offer a choice of dinner entrees
to our reception guests?
A: We are happy to offer your
guests a choice of dinner entrees during your reception. It
is not necessary to have a separate response card in your invitation.
Vegetarian entrees are also available upon request.
Q: What is the deposit required and when
is the deposit and remaining balance due?
A: A deposit of $2,000.00
is required at the time you reserve your date. Your final payment
is due two days prior to your wedding.
Q: Do you have a cancellation policy?
A: If you cancel your reservation,
your deposit will be refunded if another wedding were rescheduled
for that date, minus our $1000.00 administrative fee.
Q: Are floral arrangements included
in your Wedding Packages? A: Yes! Each package
includes a variation of centerpieces for each guest table, as
well as for the bridal table. |
