| Q: |
When do we discuss menu
options? |
| A: |
Please call
two weeks prior with your menu selection— including hors d’oeuvres,
flowers, and linens, etc. A tentative count is suggested
one week prior and a guarantee count is required 72 hours
prior. |
| Q: |
Can our guests select
entrees at the time of our event? |
| A: |
Yes! You can
choose to develop a special menu to be placed on the
tables at the time of your event with two entrées
plus a vegetarian option available upon request. |
| Q: |
Isn’t it “simpler” to
do a buffet as opposed to a sit-down? |
| A: |
No. Buffets
are generally comparable in costs to sit-down menus,
and with our special “printed
menu” option, you can develop a lovely and effortless
affair. |
| Q: |
Do you have space available
for small parties? |
| A: |
Yes! We have nine private rooms available
for groups from 4 to 400. |
| Q: |
Is it acceptable to bring
in my own cake? |
| A: |
Yes! However, we can offer our private
bakery services or you can bring in an outside cake for
just $2.00 plate charge per person. |
| Q: |
Can we decorate the room? |
| A: |
Certainly! All of our rooms have
unique style decor, however if you wish to add to their
ambiance, you are welcome to bring in outside decorations.
Remember, we can provide flowers at cost for every occasion. |
| Q: |
Is there a special rate
for overnight rooms if I book a private event space? |
| A: |
Yes, depending on availability. |
| Q: |
How far in advance do
I need to reserve a private room? |
| A: |
We work on a first-come, first-serve
basis. Once you have decided to host an event at the Century
House, we suggest you contact our Sales Department immediately
to reserve your space. |
| Q: |
Do I need to bring in
outside audiovisual equipment for my conference? |
| A: |
No. We can rent all necessary A/V
equipment prior to your event. |
| Q: |
My company is hosting
a themed function. Can your menus be tailored to our event? |
| A: |
If you do not find what you are looking
for in one of our packages, our Sales Department will work
with you to develop an original menu, from a scrumptious
Hawaiian luau to an elegant high tea. |
