Wedding-Wish-We-Knew Advice

  • image

One of the best things about the holiday season are all the new engagements! With every future bride and groom that comes into the Century House we feel the excitement, joy and the unbridled readiness for a future together. There is nothing that we wouldn’t do for our couples, that’s why we want to take the opportunity to share advice from those who have walked down the aisle before you.

  1. Create a wedding only email address. We mean this. This will save you the headaches caused by clutter, disorganization and well, far too much information all at once. The best part? When your day has come and passed, you won’t be bothered by all the wedding emails you once, were perhaps, delighted to read and you don’t have to waste time unsubscribing!
  2. Establish your wedding day top priorities. Most of us have a budget, and that’s okay. But take a moment to prioritize what’s important to you. You don’t want to look back and say, “I am so glad we selected a fantastic photographer, but I wish we budgeted for a videographer to capture those live, in between moments.”
  3. Make a decision and don’t look back. Okay, you can look back, but when that means switching up your theme 10 times, we advise against it. There are a lot of decisions to be made when planning a wedding. Sometimes you need to select something and move on, not select one thing and then head the, sometimes dangerous, land of Pinterest. Trust your judgment! This is your day— don’t second-guess yourself now!

As much anticipation as all newly engaged couples feel, there is also some stress that may come along with it. If you select us as your venue, you will work exclusively with our team of professional wedding and event planners to ensure that your day will go off without a hitch (well, except yours of course)!
