After planning weddings for 37 years at the Century House, there aren’t many things that could catch Marge Heather off guard. She organizes over 100 weddings each year at the historic Latham hotel, and couldn’t be happier with what she does for a living.
She says this rewarding career allows her to meet and build relationships with couples, and she loves making their dream a reality as they celebrate this special day. While weddings can be a bit hectic at times, Marge says the hardest part is actually saying goodbye to the couples she’s served. She says although there are a few couples she never sees again, most come back for wedding anniversaries, baby showers and all of life’s celebrations. Unique to most sales specialists, Marge has also worked with the adult children of former clients who are now planning their weddings and events at The Century House.
Perfection is the name of the game in the wedding business. That’s why at The Century House you will work with your own event planner who will detail your day with you from menu selections to linens to the rehearsal to your first dance. Things happen, and having someone on the ground to help ensure that the couple is able to focus on enjoying their big day instead of worrying about the little details is what the house wedding planners Leslie and Phil strive for.
Saying “I do” at the Century House means you’ll have a team of planning professionals behind you, helping you create the perfect engagement party, bridal shower, rehearsal dinner, wedding ceremony and reception, and even the after-party or morning-after breakfast. So say yes, and then call the Century House to start creating a day you’ll never forget.
